A new hazelnut processing plant is being set up in Zaqatala.
According to the Ministry of Economy, hazelnut growing in Azerbaijan has a great export potential and contributes to the inflow of foreign currency into the country.
It is noted that in this regard, appropriate steps are being taken to increase the production of hazelnuts using modern technologies, as well as to bring products to new markets.
One of the directions of this activity is the creation of hazelnut processing enterprises based on new production methods.
One of them is a plant built in Zaqatala region by Agrarco LLC.
The enterprise, capable of processing 7 thousand tons of hazelnuts per year, will create 150 jobs.
The total investment cost of the project is 34.3 million manats. The enterprise is planned to be put into operation in the near future.
